Reset all settings to factory defaults

Under Settings → Manage settings → Clear all application settings, TheFlex can be reset completely to its factory state. All configured settings – start pages, passwords, security settings, keyboard configuration, and everything else – are deleted.

A confirmation screen appears before the reset is carried out. The reset only happens after explicitly tapping Yes.

Cannot be undone

The reset is irreversible. There is no way to restore the previous settings afterwards.

Export the current settings as a file or QR code beforehand if you want to be able to restore them later.

When a reset makes sense​

  • Troubleshooting – Something is not working and it is unclear which setting is causing the problem. A reset to factory defaults is a clean starting point.
  • Device reassignment – A device that was configured for one purpose needs to be set up completely fresh for a different use case.
  • Test devices – After a test run the device should be returned to a clean state.

What is reset​

All settings that can be configured in the TheFlex settings are deleted and set back to their defaults. This includes:

  • All start pages
  • Admin password
  • Security settings
  • Keyboard settings
  • Cache and session settings
  • Logging settings
  • All other UI and behaviour settings

The TheFlex app itself is not uninstalled – only the configuration is deleted.
