Managed App Configuration
TheFlex reads settings pushed by an MDM system – for example Microsoft Intune or SOTI MobiControl – and applies them automatically. This allows an IT department to configure TheFlex centrally across all devices.
This feature is enabled by default. It can be turned off under Settings → Security → Managed App Configuration.
When to disable it
In normal operation, this setting should remain on. The only reason to turn it off is when testing local settings on a managed device – otherwise the MDM system will overwrite any local changes the next time its configuration is applied.
Typical use case: A setting needs to be tested locally, but the device is enrolled in an MDM system that keeps pushing its own configuration. Disabling Managed App Configuration temporarily prevents the MDM from interfering.
After finishing the test, turn this setting back on. Leaving it disabled means the device is no longer receiving MDM-managed settings, which can cause it to drift out of the intended configuration.
Where to find it
Settings → Security → Managed App Configuration
Toggle the switch to disable or re-enable MDM configuration. The change takes effect immediately – no restart required.
