Device information

The Device information page in the TheFlex settings shows all relevant technical details about the device and the installed app. This is the first place to look when contacting support or tracking down a problem.

Versions

Device

Device IDInternal identifier of the device – useful for matching the device in an MDM system
Serial number

On Android 10 and later, Android no longer allows apps to read the hardware serial number. On older devices it may still be shown here.

Screen resolutions

TheFlex shows three resolution values. These are useful when a website or SAP app does not display correctly – especially when elements are cut off or don't fit the screen.

CurrentThe active browser resolution – changes depending on whether the status bar and navigation bar are visible
FullscreenThe browser resolution when both system bars are hidden (maximum usable area)
NativeThe physical pixel resolution of the display
Example

If a website is designed for a specific resolution, compare the Current and Fullscreen values here to understand how much screen space is actually available to the app. Enabling fullscreen mode increases the Current value towards the Fullscreen value.

WebView version and display problems

The WebView is the component responsible for rendering all websites and apps inside TheFlex. If it is outdated, visual glitches, white screens, or missing features can appear.

The WebView version is not listed directly on this page but can be found in the Android system settings under Apps → Android System WebView.

Note

The WebView can be updated independently via the Google Play Store (app: Android System WebView). On managed devices this update may be blocked by the MDM – in that case contact IT.

White screen / display problems
